Background and Experience

I became a therapist after a decade working at Google in the fast-paced business world. In that career, I witnessed how people could use achievement and strong intellects to mask an underlying feeling of loneliness, disconnection, and suffering. I wanted to become a therapist to support individuals to unmask, and connect authentically with the people who matter to them. I saw how meaningful relationships offered an antidote to suffering, but that many people needed support to process their past and learn concrete skills to connect with the loved ones in their lives.

I have experience working as a therapist in diverse settings, supporting clients in outpatient clinics, school settings, and Residential levels of care for clients with acute co-occurring diagnoses. I have worked with neurodiverse and Gifted individuals, and bring a neuroaffirmative approach to integrating a client’s ND experience into their treatment goals. I follow an integrative approach supporting clients who are balancing intersectional identities personally and within their families and partnerships, including those exploring nascent or new discoveries that clients are integrating into their sense of self.

I am a life long learner and love deepening my training and skills as a clinician. I am EMDR Certified and an EMDRIA Member. I have completed advanced trainings to offer EMDR to neurodiverse clients, parents, and IFS-Informed EMDR for clients with complex trauma. In addition to EMDR, I have completed in-depth trainings in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition to decreasing symptoms of anxiety and depression, I aspire to support my clients to increase pleasure and connection in their lives and with others. I’m a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) and can support clients around desire and pleasure discrepancies, and I’m trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2).
